Bandages

Crepe bandage is made of cotton and spandex and is an elasticated bandage. Crepe bandage is lightweight and provides good compression, is ideal for the healing of sprains and strains, to serve as a compression bandage to support already bandaged varicose veins and to support surgical gauze bandage dressings as it provides good support.

However as they are elasticated, they do not prevent joints from flexing. Crepe bandage is also breathable which allows the skin to breathe, they are washable and can be re-used. Crepe bandage is never applied directly to wounds and it must be noted that it is not to be applied too tightly as this could cut off blood circulation which could create a potential life-threatening situation.
